Brown Crab


2013, granite with brown surface,

24" wide

a refined piece making use of the natural color of the oxydized granite surface

mounted on a rustic granite block that weighs approximatley 400 lbs.

color contrast is achieved through different surface treatments (chiseled versus polished);

This sculpture won 2nd prize at the 11th Annual Joan Dunfey Memorial Exhibition' at the Robert Lincoln Levy Gallery in Portsmouth, NH in 2011


Heart Urchin

2014, quartz boulder, available with pedestal

Heart urchins (Spatangoidea) have a lateral symmetry instead of a radial symmetry. They are also found as fossils from the cretaceous period.

This sculpture was part of my show at the 'Seacoast Science Center' in 2014

the teeth consist of quartz crystals

'Toothed Fish' was my contribution to 'Celebrating the Art of Sculpture' at the Peabody Institute Library in Danvers, MA, in 2014, and graced the grounds of 'Saint-Gaudens National Historic Site' in Cornish / NH in 2016.

Genetically Modified Squid

2013, weathered rock boulder, approximately 4 ft. long and 250 lbs

a sculpture inspired by the shape of a rock, one side is a squid, the other - after genetic modification, turns out to be a shark.
