Redesigned Entrance Walkways

Please click on the images for larger resolution

A narrow concrete walkway connected from the parking area to the side entrance. A number of large shrubs obscured the view to the house.

A new brick walkway was installed to match the traditional New England style of the home. A retaining wall was constructed to retain the slopes and terrace the land.

In this photo, the plants have just been planted. Only a year later the space started to fill up with foliage and flowers.

With the help of a wider landing, the walkway was adopted to the width of the entrance stairs.

Another entrance with a concrete walkway that was to be replaced.

The new walkway is brought to the width of the wooden stairs, and a granite edging gives it a formal note.
